Himlung Himal (7,126 m) is located in a remote area between Manaslu and Annapurna, near the Tibetan border. It remained closed to visitors for a long time and was opened only in 1992, the same year a Japanese team made the first ascent. Although technically considered one of the easier peaks, Himlung is challenging due to extreme cold and the isolation of the region.
The expedition follows part of the Annapurna Circuit route toward the Nar-Phu villages, passing through landscapes filled with high peaks, glaciers, forests, fast-flowing rivers, and traditional cultural settlements. The base camp is set at 4,850 m, with three higher camps established above it, reaching up to 6,375 m. The climb offers an authentic experience in one of the wildest and least visited areas of Nepal.
