/ Previous experience in mountain climbing above 2000m in summer and winter conditions is required. On average, expect about 6-8 hours of activity every day, except on days when rest, acclimatization or transfer are planned. No prior technical knowledge is required for the activities, just walking fitness. We recommend walking with trekking poles.

What will you experience?

Damavand (5671m) is the highest peak in Iran. Although located in the province of Mazandaran, it can be reached from Tehran. Its shape is irresistibly reminiscent of Mount Fuji. Damavand is a volcano and still emits sulfur fumes that are strong enough to kill an unfortunate stray sheep. It is a basic trekking route, but it is very demanding, so it is necessary for the climber to be in good physical shape. After the ascent to Damavand, we tour Tehran with a guide, including museums, the most important cultural and historical monuments and the famous bazaar.
