First summited by a Japanese team in 1992\, this technically moderate peak presents challenges primarily through extreme cold. The area remained closed to visitors until 1992 when the Nepalese government opened the region. Our expedition follows the Annapurna Circuit trek route to Koto\, then continues to Nar-Phu village. The trek to Base Camp passes Himalayan peaks\, glaciers\, high passes\, remote villages\, forests\, springs\, Gompas\, and unique cultural settlements.\n \n\nThis untouched region sees few mountaineers – a land where time stands still\, featuring wild\, breathtaking landscapes with fascinating people\, rushing rivers\, and pristine forests.\n \n\nOur Base Camp at 4\,850m sits on grassy terrain. DESCRIPTION:Ama Dablam – A Challenge for Experienced Mountaineers\n\n\n   \nAma Dablam (6\,812m) – One of the most beautiful peaks in the Khumbu region. \n\nSTART DATE: 08.10.2026 – Kathmandu\, Nepal \nEND DATE: 01.11.2026 – Kathmandu\, Nepal \nEXPEDITION DESCRIPTION\n\nAma Dablam (6\,812m) is located in the central Khumbu region\, about 20 km south of Mt. Everest. It presents a true challenge for experienced alpinists. Considered one of the most beautiful Himalayan peaks\, it’s also the most photographed. Prerequisites for climbing this Himalayan giant include excellent physical and mental preparation\, plus prior experience on peaks above 5\,000m.\n \n\nProficiency with the equipment listed below and winter mountaineering techniques are essential for participation. Most climbers who’ve stood on its summit claim it was their most beautiful Himalayan experience. The first ascent was made on March 13\, 1961 via the southwest ridge by Mike Gill\, Barry Bishop\, Mike Ward\, and Wally Romanes.\n \n\nOur expedition begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla\, followed by a multi-day trek through the Khumbu Valley to base camp\, with acclimatization on Nangar Tsang Peak (5\,100m). Throughout the trek\, the world’s highest peak – Mt. Everest (8\,848m) – dominates the horizon. Overnights are in local teahouses until reaching base camp\, where we transition to expedition tents (provided by us)\, along with fixed ropes and protection for the ascent route. All equipment is transported to base camp by yaks. We’ve successfully completed three expeditions to this peak with an 80% summit success rate.\n \nEXPEDITION ITINERARY\nDay 01: KATHMANDU. Named for its island-like appearance amidst glaciers\, it was later renamed Imja Tse though locals still call it Island Peak.\n \n\nThe expedition begins in Kathmandu with a flight to Lukla\, followed by trekking through Khumbu Valley with Everest (8\,848m) views. We pass through Sherpa villages\, acclimatize on Nangar Tsang (5\,100m) and Chukung Ri (5\,550m)\, then establish base camp.
