The mountain’s name derives from the Sanskrit word “manias\,” meaning intellect or spirit. The Japanese\, who first summited in 1956\, consider Manaslu their “mountain\,” while climbers worldwide come to explore its beauty and history.\n \n\n  The first serious ascent attempt was made in 1953\, but the path to the summit was fraught with challenges and local opposition. Today\, Manaslu is a popular destination for climbers seeking technical ascents\, natural beauty\, and rich cultural history.\n \n\n  Extreme Summit Team proudly led a Manaslu expedition with 10 out of 12 members reaching the summit!\n \nEXPEDITION ITINERARY\n\n  Day 01: KATHMANDU.
