Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport. Transfer to the hotel in Arusha. Time to rest and explore the town. In the afternoon – equipment check and packing for the climb. Overnight at the hotel. \nDay 02: MANDARA Hut. After breakfast\, drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park gate near Marangu village. Trekking begins through tropical rainforest with a chance to spot colobus monkeys and lush vegetation. Break for a sandwich and coffee. Arrival at Mandara Hut (2\,600 m). Overnight stay. \nDay 03: HOROMBO Hut. The ascent continues as we leave the forest and enter the afro-alpine zone. Stunning views of Mawenzi Peak and the Moshi Valley unfold. We reach Horombo Hut (3\,600 m) by the end of the day\, just in time for sunset. A long trek through alpine desert takes us to Kibo Hut (4\,600 m)\, nestled below the massive Kibo crater. Afternoon arrival and preparations for the final ascent. Rest overnight. \n\n  Ascent to Kibo Huts\nDay 06: UHURU Peak (5\,895 m). Night climb with headlamps towards Gilman’s Point (5\,685 m). We enjoy the sunrise\, then continue on a gentler path to Uhuru Peak – the highest point in Africa (5\,895 m). After celebrating and taking photos\, we descend to Kibo Hut for lunch\, then continue down to Horombo Hut. Overnight stay. \n\n  First sunrise on the final ascent\n\n  On the final ascent we are partly surrounded by ice\nDay 07: MARANGU Gate. Descent to Marangu Gate where we complete formalities and receive certificates for the successful summit. Return to Arusha for relaxation at the hotel. Dinner and certificate ceremony.
