ADVENTURE ITINERARY

Patagonia! At the very end of the world — geographically speaking — but in terms of beauty and uniqueness, it truly belongs among the top destinations. This region in the south of Argentina and Chile offers a stunning mix of turquoise lakes, striking peaks, and wild vegetation, along with a fascinating array of wildlife, including the world’s most famous glacier.

We will also visit Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, known for its cultural and historical landmarks. This is an adventure that requires good physical fitness, but promises an unforgettable experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

ADVENTURE PLAN

Day 01: BUENOS AIRES. Meeting at hotel in Buenos Aires. After settling in, a tour of one of the most beautiful cities in the Southern Hemisphere. The famous port of La Boca, tango on every corner, the old town on the Rio de la Plata, the 9 de Julio Avenue with its iconic obelisk, the main square Plaza de Mayo, vast parks, top-notch restaurants, and even better wine 🙂 All in one place. Dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 02: BUENOS AIRES – EL CALAFATE – PERITO MORENO. Early morning flight to El Calafate. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. We head out to explore the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier. Optional lake cruise in agreement with the guide, or glacier trekking with crampons. Return to El Calafate. Overnight stay.

Day 03: EL CHALTÉN. Breakfast. Transfer to El ChaltĂ©n. Hotel check-in. Today, together with your guide, you’ll go on a trek to the Chorrillo del Salto waterfall. The trek lasts around 3 hours. Return to El ChaltĂ©n. Overnight stay.

Day 04: CERRO TORRE. Departure for a true Patagonian adventure. Trek to Laguna Torre, offering a view of one of the most striking peaks – Cerro Torre. Time to relax by the lake, followed by a return to El Chaltén. Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 05: ESTANCIA BONANZA. Breakfast. Visit to one of the most beautiful estancias in Patagonia. Transfer from the hotel to the ranch. Horseback riding preparation with a guide. The trail follows a river and surrounding streams with unforgettable views of Fitz Roy. Return to the ranch, where the hosts will prepare lunch. Transfer back to the hotel. Optional afternoon activity: moderate via ferrata with a hanging bridge and zip line. Overnight stay.

Day 06: FITZ ROY. Breakfast. Trek to the lake at the base of Patagonia’s highest peak – Fitz Roy (3,359 m), Laguna de los Tres. This is a more demanding hike, lasting around 4 hours. Return to El Chaltén. Overnight stay.

Day 07: RAFTING RIO DE LAS VUELTAS. Breakfast. Rafting on the glacial river Rio de Las Vueltas. Transfer to the river, short briefing and gear distribution. The rafting experience lasts about 3 hours. After rafting, return to the hotel. Afternoon free time. Overnight stay.

Day 08: LAGO AZUL, LAGO DIABLO & CAGLIERO GLACIER. Breakfast. Transfer to the starting point of today’s trek. The trail follows the Diablo River through a valley covered with native forest. Hanging bridge crossings lead to Laguna Diablo, with a stunning view of the Cagliero Glacier. Return to the Diablo River valley and transfer back to El Chaltén. Overnight stay.

Day 09: EL CALAFATE. Breakfast. Transfer to El Calafate. Hotel check-in. Day reserved for optional activities: visit to a local ranch with ATV rides or scenic MTB tours for the more active participants. Overnight stay.

Day 10: EL CALAFATE – BUENOS AIRES. Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Flight from El Calafate to Buenos Aires. Transfer to the hotel. Free day for visiting museums, city parks, and souvenir shopping. Dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 11: BUENOS AIRES. Breakfast. Transfer to the airport where you will catch your flight home. 🙂

ADVENTURE COSTS

Total cost of the adventure: 1,950 EUR

The organization of the adventure includes:

  • Flight tickets on the route Buenos Aires – El Calafate – Buenos Aires
  • Minibus transfers airport – hotel – airport
  • Bus transportation on all routes within Argentina
  • Day trips to Perito Moreno, Fitz Roy, and Cerro Torre
  • Day trips to Chorrillo del Salto, Laguna Diablo, and Cagliero Glacier
  • Excursion to Estancia Bonanza (horseback riding and lunch)
  • Rafting on the Rio de Las Vueltas river
  • Entrance fees for National Parks, Laguna Diablo, and Perito Moreno
  • Hotel accommodation in Buenos Aires, in double rooms (half board)
  • Accommodation in hotels and hostels during the trek in double rooms (bed and breakfast)
  • All permits, entrance fees, and taxes in Argentina
  • Services of a professional guide during treks as per the program

The organization of the adventure does not include:

  • Visa for Argentina (if required)
  • International health insurance
  • Quad rides, MTB, glacier trekking on Perito Moreno, and via ferrata / optional excursions
  • Anything else not listed under “The organization includes”

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

  • Hiking backpack (20L to 30L)
  • Duffel bag for the rest of your belongings (stays at the hotel during the trek)
  • Trekking pants (canvas or similar) x 2
  • Gore-Tex jacket (or any waterproof jacket)
  • Hiking boots
  • Socks – thermal and regular
  • Cotton T-shirts x 5
  • Base layer (thermal underwear)
  • Wool or fleece hat
  • Sun hat
  • Fleece hoodie or sweatshirt
  • Gloves
  • Towel and hygiene supplies
  • Sunglasses
  • Headlamp
  • Thermos (1L) x 2
  • Medicines and vitamins
  • Toilet paper, sunscreen SPF 50, and lip balm
  • Trekking poles

CONDITIONS

Applicants must submit climbing resume, insurance and passport scan. The adventure is open to individuals who are able to hike 15-20 km with an elevation gain of 1,000 meters and regularly practice an aerobic sport.

Application Conditions:

  • At least 90 days before the departure for the adventure.

Payment Conditions:

  • 10% of the total amount upon application for the adventure
  • 40% of the total amount 60 days before departure
  • 50% of the total amount 30 days before departure

In case of cancellation by the participant:

  • If the cancellation is 60 or more days before departure – 100% of the paid amount will be refunded.
  • If the cancellation is 30-59 days before departure – 50% of the paid amount will be refunded.
  • If the cancellation is 29 days or fewer before departure – no refund will be provided.

In case of cancellation by the organizer:

If canceled due to insufficient participants, notice will be given 45 days prior. Full refund.
