Climb Via Ferrata & visit old town Blagaj

Immerse yourself in the history of Blagaj, Bosnia’s hidden gem, while climbing through its paths via ferrata, all in 2N/3D

Start your trip with the guided visit of Mostar, it’s famous bridge, narrow streets and charming shops. Moving on the next day, we proceed to Blagaj, a populated place near Mostar, known by the Tekija(or Tekke) – a Dervish monastery, that’s 600 years old. Located at the base of a cliff next to one of the most beautiful springs of Europe – river Buna.

Throughout history, Blagaj was a settled place even during the Roman times. Since the 15th century the city was ruled by Herceg Stjepan Kosača with a residence in the tower above Blagaj. After the arrival of Ottoman Empire and the takeover of the tower and power, it marked a change in construction of various facilities and Blagajska Tekija in 16th century.

We will have the opportunity to visit Blagaj, climbing through the ferate that leads to the tower of Herceg Stjepan Kosače, the Tekija and river Buna.

Via ferrata is a secured mountain path going through a hardly accessible rocky terrain, equipped with sidewalks, steel cables, steel wedges and ladders attached to the rock. On the ferries, hikers use personal technical kits for insurance when moving.
